Whole School History week

This week Eynsham have stepped back in time to the 1960s! Each year group has delivered a themed activity which each class have experienced as they have worked their way around school this week. They have enjoyed the following activities:
Mrs Bayliss & Mrs Gidlow: Fashion in the 1960s
Miss Warrington & Mrs James: Food in the 1960s
Miss Lopez & Mr Webberley: Eynsham in the 1960s
Miss Patterson, Miss Rayfield & Mrs Edwards: Music and dance in the 1960s
Miss Davis & Mr Williams: Key events in the 1960s
Mr Jackson & Mr Wyatt: Art in the 1960s
The children then all dressed up in amazing 1960s costumes and had an assembly where Mr Jackon, Miss Warrington and Mr Robin Saunders MBE (former governor, Evenlode DIY) had the very difficult job of judging! The children were shown the BBC film reel of Eynsham in the 1960s and spotted what was similar and what has changed.

We have had a fantastic week and have learned so much. We would like to thank all of the children and families for their amazing efforts and brilliant costumes
