This week we have been so busy.
On Monday we had a visit from PCSO Lucy to talk to us about Road Safety and how important it is to hold an adults hand and not run off. In class we used road mats, toy people and cars to act out finding safe places to cross the road such as zebra crossings.
We also starting practicing our Nursery Rhymes for World Nursery Rhyme Week and decorated paper sheep (Baa Baa Black Sheep); played with the jungle small world (Down in the Jungle); made waterspouts (Incy Wincy Spider); paper boats (Row Row Row your Boat), and bird, fish and butterfly stick puppets (2 Little Dickie Birds)
Following on from our learning last week
we have had dolls to bath and look after in our baby corner role play area and have swept the fallen leaves into a big pile to make a home for the hedgehog we found, just in case he comes back to see us.
As if that wasn’t enough we have been writing our names in lots of different ways and using maths equipment to count out 20 objects.. On Thursday some of the children who will be starting Nursery in January came for a visit. We made them feel very welcome and showed them around the class and outdoor area.
Now we just need a well earned rest before we perform our Nursery Rhyme concert on Monday afternoon next week.
