Hedgehogs: Outdoor Science experiment!

posted in: Year Two News | 0

This afternoon Hedgehog class explored heart rates and their beats per minute. We measured our BPM when relaxed, walking and then after star jumps. The children made their predictions and we talked about what makes our heart beat faster and why. This was the first time we used the new Outdoor Classroom and Hedgehog class LOVED it. Unsurprisingly after the exercise our hearts were beating faster and we started to feel tired and warm which we recorded in our books! This is all part of our topic exploring ‘Animals and Humans’, particularly staying healthy.
